Come and join our joyful and friendly kirtan gathering! “Kirtan”, which literally means ‘to repeat’ in Sanskrit, is a call-and-response style of chanting that anyone can enjoy. Repeating simple mantras over and over provides us with an easy way to experience some freedom from the daily chatter of our minds. It creates an uplifting energy within us because of the intrinsic power of the sacred Sanskrit lyrics. It’s simple, fun and extremely liberating!
Thanks to everyone who joined our July gathering. The money we raised (19,000 yen) has been donated to YCIP. The pure karma we created together has infinite possibilities! Thanks again for your love and support. -Tomoko

Detox Yoga Workshop for the mind, body and soul
With Miles Maeda

Saturday, September 11th at Sun and Moon
Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Cost: 4,500 yen
When we begin our journey with yoga, it’s like preparing the soil for a garden to produce an abundance of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. As we deepen our practice, we plant the seeds that we choose to cultivate. And if we want the best possible result with our garden, we create the best possible environment to nurture these seedlings. So similarly in our yoga practice, it is an important step to cleanse the body and mind to properly cultivate the ’seed’ or light of our true nature which yoga reveals.

Come Sing Your Heart Out

Sat, July 3rd
7:00-8:30pm
Fees: Donation (500-1,000 yen)
We’re happy to announce that Sun & Moon Yoga will host a monthly singing group from June. Let’s practice kirtan, bhakti
yoga together to sing our hearts out!
Singing opens the heart and frees the mind. Singing in a community creates a beautiful chorus of voices joining in peace and harmony in sangha. If you have been wanting to free your voice, open your heart, join a community gathering, and
come together with others in an artistic pursuit–even if you can’t hold a note or sing off-tune, then please join this casual gathering.
All the fees will be donated to a charity (Yoga Classics Input Project). We can protect someone’s life and pass down the sacred yogic wisdom to the next generations by joining our hearts and voices together. All are welcome!
